Christmas celebration in English

Reverend Doctor Paul Nelson will lead the parish through a joyful Christmas Festival with lessons and carols on Saint Stephen’s day, Sunday December 26 at 3 pm.
Welcome to join in the traditional singing of Hark the Herald Angels sing, Joy to the World, O come all ye faithful, Silent Night, Holy Night and other hymns.
Fyris kammarkör with conductor Nils Pålbrant will take part and Andrew Canning will play the cathedral’s great Ruffatti organ.
– You can tell by the way they are played that Andrew Canning has those carols in his blood, Paul Nelson tells us. (Andrew Canning was born in the UK.)
The Christmas Festival with Lessons and Carols is also celebrated in King´s College in Cambridge, England, where they started doing it 70 years ago. In Uppsala Cathedral our traditon goes back to 1996.
